1st Annual
Wheel's Reels Striper Showdown
December
2nd through 4th, 2005
“2005 Tournament Results”
WOW!
The 1st Annual Wheel’s Reels Striper Showdown was a
HUGE and striking success!!
We had well over 200 participants from 11 different
states along the Eastern Seaboard and as
far away as California and Texas. Along with all our
participants, we had lots of great
sponsorships and prizes. We couldn’t have done it without
you all of you - thanks for
everyone’s support! With this being a first year tournament,
we appreciate you taking a
chance on us and we hope we not only met your expectations
but also exceeded them.
We took note of a few improvements for next year, but
overall we couldn’t have asked for
things to run much smoother.
We
can’t say “Thank You” enough to our major sponsors -
Carhartt, Camp Hatteras,
Gamakatsu, Bass Pro Shops, Hatteras Jack, Fish Bites,
Pepsi, Ocean Atlantic Rentals and
Flying Fish Screen Printing. Another big Thank You goes
out to Chuck “Skidmark” Deal from
Ogden Deal Designs for the signage and to Chuck “Cookie”
Hall, “Biscuit” and the other WRI
cooking crew for one hell of a breakfast. |

We
weighed in a lot of fish - 23 total. There were many

big enough to give the others a run for the
money – literally! Our winning fish were as follows:
